Direct Admission into Skilled Nursing based on Availability.
“I have a very good life here.”
-- from a recent Resident Satisfaction Survey
Availability permitting, if you need temporary or long-term skilled nursing care you can move directly into the Schramm Health Center at The Pines at Davidson, a beautiful 140-acre senior community located near Davidson College. Residents enjoy private rooms, an activity room and bathing spa. And they’re served the same fine cuisine that’s served in the main Pines dining room. The Skilled Nursing neighborhood also offers regular visits by a dentist and consulting pharmacist.
People are happy at The Pines: In a past resident satisfaction survey, 98% said they would recommend us to their friends and family. We’re a financially strong not-for-profit community, dedicated to a mission of serving our residents.
Residents receiving skilled nursing care at The Pines are eligible to receive Medicare covered services such as attending physician, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, mobile dentistry, podiatry, hospice and prescription drugs. While these Medicare covered services are available, The Pines chooses not to participate in the federal Medicare program as it concerns its skilled nursing beds because the collective benefits of participating do not outweigh the cost of administering such a program. In addition, The Pines is not a Medicaid-certified provider.
